Pyongyang, June 3 (KCNA) -- Officials and workers in several fields of the national economy fulfilled their national economic plans for May through dynamic campaign for increased production to make a breakthrough in carrying out the new five-year plan.
The workers of the metallurgical industrial field have taken the lead in carrying out the plan.
Workers of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex have made successes by ensuring normal operation of equipment like oxygen heat blast furnace and oxygen separator and by stepping up the production of pig iron, steel and rolled steel. Those of the Chollima Steel Complex have carried out their plan for iron and steel production while those of the Kim Chaek Iron and Steel Complex have overfulfilled their plan for rolled steel production for May.
Miners of the Musan Mining Complex, Unryul Mine, Jaeryong Mine and others have increased the iron ore production by directing their efforts to the full-capacity operation of mining equipment and vehicles.
Lots of units of the chemical industrial field have honored their national economic plan for May in the wake of the first quarter and April thanks to the devoted efforts of the officials and workers.
The Namhung Youth Chemical Complex and the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex have put the fertilizer production on a normal footing and the February 8 Vinalon Complex has pushed ahead with the production of chemicals while successfully readjusting and reinforcing the production base with its own technology and efforts.
The Ministry of Coal Industry has overfulfilled coal production plan for May, namely the Sunchon Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex, the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex and the Pukchang Area Youth Coal-Mining Complex.
The field of railway transport has also overfulfilled its plan for May.
The Pyongyang Railway Bureau overfulfilled its transport plan by 3 percent and the Hamhung, Chongjin and Rason railway bureaus have made contributions to fulfillment of the plan of the Ministry of Railways by transporting more loads than the fixed quantity.
