Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The agricultural sector is taking foresighted measures to cope with disastrous climate.
Officials of the Ministry of Agriculture push ahead with urgent farm work, upgrade network and improve the command system to update the agricultural units across the country on climatic conditions every week and month through close cooperation with relevant units.
They dynamically propel clearing waterways and repairing irrigation structures after grasping conditions of irrigation system across the country in detail.
Officials of agricultural guidance organizations in all provinces, cities and counties make full preparation for ensuring solidity of irrigation structures and regular operation of equipment after checking the overall state of work for dredging rivers and clearing out ditches in paddy and dry fields and the conditions of irrigation facilities.
All the farms keep finding out the ways and taking measures for protecting crops from disastrous climatic conditions such as high temperature, drought, rainy wind and typhoon after making it a fait accompli that they would be affected this year, too. -0-
