Pyongyang, June 10 (KCNA) -- Young people in the DPRK are performing miracles and innovations in major sectors of the national economy.
Those in the metallurgical industry and chemical industry are adding glory to their honor of being the vanguard and shock brigade in carrying out the first-year tasks of the five-year plan.
Members of the Kim Jin Youth Shock Brigade of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex involved in the project for laying fresh technical foundations for production made a breakthrough by volunteering to implement the most difficult tasks.
Young workers of the Chollima Steel Complex, who turned out in repairing a revolving furnace of the Posan Iron Works, have creditably propped up the work for reinforcing the iron and steel production foundations by displaying the charging spirit of the youth in all undertakings such as carriage of fire bricks and sludge disposal.
Members of the Kim Hyok Youth Shock Brigade of the February 8 Vinalon Complex have pushed ahead with concrete placing and wall plastering at the construction site of new production facilities. Young workers of the Namhung Youth Chemical Complex take the lead in reprocessing, digging and transport.
Members of the youth shock brigade of the Hungnam Fertilizer Complex dedicate themselves to the project for expanding the nitro-lime fertilizer production capacity.
Young people in the mining industry and building-materials industry distinguish themselves in restoring inundated pits, readjusting and reinforcing production processes and expanding production capacity.
Those in the textile industry are giving full play to the spirit and mettle of the young vanguard in implementing the national economic plan by waging an emulation campaign in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experience with them. -0-
