Pyongyang, June 12 (KCNA) -- The workers in several units of the mining industry sector all out for implementing the decisions of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Party Central Committee finished their first half-yearly national economic plans ahead of schedule.
Those working in the pits of the Sangnong Mine have over-fulfilled their monthly production plans by introducing various blasting methods suited to different rock qualities and increasing the proportion of the mining work done by machines, thus positively contributing to finishing the mine's first half-yearly plan ahead of schedule.
The miners of the Phungnyon Mine increased the production of apatite concentrate necessary for producing fertilizer.
They drastically increased the production by installing equipment near the cutting faces, tightening the nexus between shifts and increasing the operational rate of equipment.
The December 5 Youth Mine makes uninterrupted progress after fulfilling its first half-yearly national economic plan by the end of May.
The Munphyong Refinery has fulfilled its daily and monthly plans for producing electrolytic zinc without fail and the Taedonggang Battery Factory fulfilled its first half-yearly plan by producing separators with locally available materials. -0-
