Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory Distinguishes Itself in Boosting Production with Locally Available Materials

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory has made substantial successes in implementing the Party's policy of increasing the proportion of home-made equipment and increasing production with locally available materials.
During his visit to the remodeled factory on June 15, Juche 105 (2016), the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un expressed great satisfaction over the remarkable progress made by the factory in its modernization project, true to the policy.
Officials and employees of the factory have registered more successes in updating its production lines and ensuring production with locally available raw and other materials by prioritizing science and technology, thus over-fulfilling their yearly national economic plans over the past five years.
Officials have taken an active part in the study through the operation of the sci-tech learning space, giving lectures on advanced technology to facilitate a mass technological innovation movement.
Technologists and workers of the factory established the lines of producing various highly nutritive instant cereal foodstuffs and put the corn syrup container-packaging process on a modern basis.
By resolving the shortage of reagent for producing ferment, inventing the technology for making sodium carbonate with locally available raw materials and introducing hundreds of valuable technological innovation schemes, they contributed to ensuring production with locally available raw and other materials.
They updated the integrated manufacturing system of the factory and put production and management on an intelligent and IT basis in cooperation with scientific and educational institutions.
As a result of their technological innovation movement for improving the quality of products, various highly nutritive products were newly developed and liquefied ferment for producing corn syrup made by the factory was granted a domestic patent. -0-
