Pyongyang, June 18 (KCNA) -- June 19, Juche 53 (1964), is a historic day when Chairman Kim Jong Il started his work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Since then, the Chairman had worked hard to build up the WPK into a mother party serving the popular masses, true to President Kim Il Sung 's intention.
He regarded "We Serve the People!" as his foremost motto and the history of his political activities was woven with the worship, respect and love and devoted service for the people.
He authored lots of works to indicate the tasks and ways for building the WPK, a socialist ruling party, into the mother party.
Under his detailed guidance, all cadres and party members established the traits of devoting sincerity to the people and faithfully serving them.
The people absolutely supported and upheld the leadership of the Chairman who had constantly made tireless efforts for them without regard to his birthdays and holidays as a defender of their destiny and spared nothing for their sake.
The song "Lights from the Party Central Committee" was created in praise of him who had energetically worked day and night during his guidance over the WPK, and it is still now popular among the people.
Today, the WPK led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un makes selfless, devoted efforts for the people under the slogan "Everything for the people and everything by relying on them!". -0-
