Pyongyang, June 19 (KCNA) -- June 19 is recorded as a significant day in the history of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), along with its birthday October 10. That day, Chairman Kim Jong Il started his work at the Central Committee of the WPK.
On this occasion, the DPRK people are recollecting with deep emotion the immortal exploits of the Chairman who developed the WPK into the party of the leader, the party of Comrade Kim Il Sung , in which the leader's ideological and leadership system is firmly established.
In the first period when he began to work at the WPK Central Committee, the Chairman declared his will to strengthen the WPK into the eternal party of Comrade Kim Il Sung and paid primary attention to the work for ensuring the oneness of idea and leadership of the leader in the whole party. Holding it as the main line and basic principle of the party building and activities to thoroughly establish the ideological system of President Kim Il Sung , he energetically guided the struggle for improving the party work system and method as intended by the President.
In Febuary Juche 63 (1974), he formulated the revolutionary idea of the President as Kimilsungism and declared the modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the supreme programme of the WPK. It was a historic event that provided a new milestone in developing the party and revolution.
Keeping in his mind the creed that the WPK should be exalted forever with the august name of the President no matter how far the revolution advances and how often one generation is replaced with another, he made sure that the continuity of the leader's idea and guidance was firmly maintained in the party building. After the demise of the President, he made public such famous works as "The Workers' Party of Korea Is the Party of the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung " to give an overall and perfect exposition of the theoretical and practical problems arising in developing the WPK into the eternal party of the President.
Thanks to the party building way of Juche indicated by the Chairman, the WPK could overcome harsh trials and difficulties and achieve the gigantic social changes by remaining faithful to the idea and cause of the President.
Today, the WPK led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un is fully displaying its prestige as the powerful political general staff leading the socialist cause of Juche to victory. -0-
