Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Beautiful roses in full bloom are now seen in streets and villages and at industrial establishments in Pyongyang, the capital city of the DPRK.
In recent years, lots of roses have been planted and cultivated in the city. The Pyongyang Floriculture Institute newly bred more than 10 species of roses and propagated them for many units.
The Pyongyang City Tree Nursery, the Pyongyang City Floricultural Farm and other units cultivated good species of roses to plant at flowerbeds along the streets including Ryomyong Street and Mirae Scientists Street.
The horticultural units in each district planted tens of thousands of roses in streets, parks and pleasure grounds and have conducted their cultivation in a scientific way suited to their biological characters.
The Pyongyang Trolley Bus Factory, the Pyongyang Condiments Factory and other industrial establishments, too, have conducted the cultivation of various kinds of roses in their compounds.
Meanwhile, flower shops and stands in the city sell roses cultivated at horticultural units. -0-
