Pyongyang, June 25 (KCNA) -- Officials and members of the women's union held a meeting on Thursday to vow to usher in a period of a new upsurge and gigantic transformation in socialist construction under the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un .
Present at the meeting held on Mansu Hill where the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il stand were Department Director of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea Ri Tu Song and delegates to the 7th Congress of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea.
Prior to the meeting the participants placed a floral basket, bouquets and flowers before the statues and made a bow.
Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the Central Committee of the women's union, read out a message of pledge to Kim Jong Un .
The message stressed that all the officials and members of the women's union would prepare themselves to be ardent woman revolutionaries who breathe, think and act only in line with the idea of the Party while absolutely trusting in and following the respected General Secretary.
It said that they would bring the beautiful traits into a full bloom in society and among the collectives, promote harmony of families and bring up children to be reliable successors to the revolution and pillars of the country under the slogan "One for all and all for one!".
The women would conduct active art and agitation, shock brigade and do-good-thing activities, spruce up streets, villages, families and worksites and actively advance to difficult fields to make tangible contribution to the prosperity of the country, it added.
It said that they would boost the enthusiasm for aiding the army, send their sons and daughters to posts for defending the country and more dynamically wage the struggle to wipe out anti-socialist and non-socialist practices.
It stressed that they would strengthen the women's union into a powerful mass political organization which is imbued with the revolutionary idea of Kim Jong Un and in which the monolithic leadership system of the Party Central Committee is thoroughly established.
