Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The Ministry of Chemical Industry of the DPRK has mapped out a detailed scientific and realistic plan for fulfilling this year's struggle goals, true to the idea and spirit of the Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Officials of the ministry held consultative meetings to take development-oriented measures for tackling the issues pending solution in the chemical industrial sector. At the meetings they were also reassigned to their detailed tasks.
The meetings reexamine the ministry's strategy for training talents and sci-tech development goal, studying and discussing the practical issues arising in reinforcing the technical forces and making sci-tech achievements conducive to fulfilling this year's plan.
Steps are being taken to ensure full supply of catalysts and raw materials needed in fertilizer production by making proactive use of internal reserves and potentials, and to put management of equipment on a higher scientific basis and successfully conclude the projects for increasing the production capacity in factories.
The ministry also pushes ahead with the important construction projects for guaranteeing the overall development of the chemical industry.
It has taken substantial measures and assigned tasks to push forward with the projects for establishing the C-1 chemical industry and remodeling the Sinuiju Chemical Fibre Mill as scheduled.
