Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un stressed at the historic Third Plenary Meeting of the Eighth Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea that it is high time to give full play to the indomitable revolutionary spirit and the fighting traits of self-reliance and fortitude, the vital power peculiar to the Korean revolution.
Rodong Sinmun Sunday says in an article that the indomitable revolutionary spirit constitutes the ideological and mental traits peculiar to the revolutionaries who regard loyalty toward their leader as their very lifeblood, and the fighting traits of self-reliance and fortitude serve as the great vitality for performing ceaseless miracles and innovations in socialist construction.
Noting that the Korean revolution urgently calls for giving full play to the indomitable revolutionary spirit and the fighting traits of self-reliance and fortitude, the article goes on:
The younger generations, who have never experienced the trials of the revolution, now emerge as a driving force and the imperialists get desperate in their moves to bring to collapse the ideological, revolutionary, class positions of our Party.
Such situation clearly proves that the education in the revolutionary traditions is a vital matter that determines the destiny and future of the country and the nation.
Given the harsh situation, it is necessary to vigorously conduct the education in the revolutionary traditions so that the people grasp the traditions in their practice, not merely recollecting the historical facts.
Unshakable is the will of our Party to imbue all the people with the ideological and mental traits and the fighting spirit displayed by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners.
The revolutionary spirit of Paektu is the valuable wealth guaranteeing the eternal victory of the Korean revolution.
Certain is the victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche as there are the sagacious and experienced guidance of the respected General Secretary and the great people who are dynamically accelerating socialist construction, being ideologically and mentally fed with the invaluable revolutionary spirit and fighting traits pioneered by the anti-Japanese revolutionary forerunners. -0-
