Pyongyang, July 1 (KCNA) -- Leading newspapers of the DPRK on Thursday carry articles in congratulation of the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
Rodong Sinmun editorially says that the founding of the CPC on July 1 1921 was a landmark historic event which brought about a new radical turn in the struggle of the Chinese people for carving out their destiny.
With the founding of the CPC, the Chinese people could have the general staff of the revolution and the genuine vanguard unit and dynamically wage the struggle for national and class liberation and the country's prosperity under the leadership of the party, the editorial says, and goes on:
The CPC organized and led the bloody revolutionary wars against imperialists and domestic reactionaries to great victories and built a new socialist China on its vast land.
Even though the hostile forces ratchet up accusation and pressure to wreck the social stability of China and curb its development, they can never stop the Chinese people following the path of their own choice with deep trust in the CPC.
Our Party and people rejoice, as over their own, over the achievements the CPC and the Chinese people have made in socialist construction by braving all sorts of challenges and trials. They are also convinced that the Chinese party and people will achieve bigger successes in building socialism with the Chinese characteristics under the guidance of the CPC Central Committee with General Secretary Xi Jinping as its kernel.
The DPRK-China friendship is invincible as it was forged at the cost of blood in the arduous, protracted revolutionary struggle for a joint cause and has been steadily developed and verified in the face of hardships and difficulties.
It is the steadfast stand and will of our Party and government to invariably carry forward the traditions of DPRK-China friendship and achieve the across-the-board prosperity of the friendly and cooperative relations between the DPRK and China, the precious asset common to the two parties and two peoples and their strategic choice.
