Pyongyang, July 12 (KCNA) -- DPRK Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon Sunday sent a congratulatory message to Wang Yi, member of the State Council and minister of Foreign Affairs of the People's Republic of China (PRC), on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the conclusion of the DPRK-China Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Mutual Assistance.
The message said that for the past sixty years since the conclusion of the treaty the two countries have supported and cooperated with each other, actively promoting the cause of socialist construction in the two countries and contributing to defending world peace and security.
It expressed the belief that there would be more dynamic exchange and cooperation between the two diplomatic fields to steadily develop the bilateral relations as required by the new era and in conformity with the desire of the two peoples true to the noble intention of the top leaders of the two countries.
It hoped that the Chinese people who significantly celebrated the 100th founding anniversary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) would make greater achievements in their efforts to build a modern socialist state with Chinese characteristics and achieve prosperity of the Chinese nation under the leadership of the CPC with General Secretary Xi Jinping at the core. -0-
