An enlarged meeting of the Second Plenary Meeting of the Seventh Central Committee of the Socialist Women's Union of Korea was held through video conferencing on July 19.
It was attended by members and alternate members of the women’s union central committee.
Officials of the central committee and the provincial, city and county committees of the women’s union were present there as observers.
The meeting discussed the ways to thoroughly implement the tasks set forth in the letter Let the Women's Union Become a Powerful Unit in Propelling the Advance and Development of Our Style of Socialism sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the participants in the Seventh Congress of the SWUK.
Kim Jong Sun, chairwoman of the SWUK Central Committee, said in her report that the women's union is now faced with an honourable task to give fresh impetus to the advancing Korean revolution and propel the ongoing general march by encouraging all the union members to implement the decisions made at the historic Party Congress and plenary meetings of the Party Central Committee, before referring to the measures to carry it out.
She called for powerfully accelerating the revolution and construction with the great spiritual strength and patriotic devotion of the Korean women by thoroughly carrying out the important tasks set forth by the respected General Secretary in his historic letter.
She was followed by other speakers.
They expressed their will to add fresh vim and vigour to the advancing Korean revolution by bringing about a great turn in the women’s union work with an innovative insight and enterprising work attitude and dynamically push the one of the two wheels of the revolution along the road of victory guided by the Party Central Committee.
After studying a draft resolution, the meeting adopted a relevant resolution.
