Pyongyang, July 23 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Friday stresses in an article that the ideals of humanity can be realized only in socialist society.
No other social system but socialism has contributed to the progress of humanity with its great idea and practice and the people of a socialist state have the greatest might in the world, the article says, and goes on:
Socialism has undergone rapid development and leaps forward with the great spiritual strength of the popular masses and their unity as the motive power. That strength and unity can neither be dreamed of nor imitated in capitalist society.
There have been not only eye-opening victories and miraculous successes but also serious setbacks and painful frustrations in the course of the development of socialism.
Collapse of socialism in some countries was not the failure of socialism as a science but the bankruptcy of opportunism that poisoned socialism.
Advantageous Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses remains unfazed by any tempest brought by complicated world politics.
The Korean people keenly realized in their life and experience that their destiny and future are guaranteed by socialism.
Their belief in the rosy future is based on the advantages of their socialist motherland being called by them the eternal cradle of their life and happiness. Therefore, any tempest of history cannot separate the Korean people from socialism.
It is the long-cherished desire and supreme ideal of humanity to live an independent and happy life equally in a free and peaceful world as the master of their destiny, free from exploitation and oppression, domination and subordination, invasion and war. The only way of realizing it is to advance along the road of socialism.
No force on earth can change the orientation of historical development towards socialism.
The eternal future of humanity lies in socialism. -0-
