Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Leading papers on Tuesday carry editorials on the occasion of the 68th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.

Rodong Sinmun in an editorial says that the brilliant victory in the war represents the victory of President Kim Il Sung 's outstanding military idea, Juche-oriented war methods and ingenious strategy and tactics and the victory of ardent patriotism and indomitable fighting spirit of our people who fought at the cost of life to defend the country, true to the call of the President.

The exploits performed by the President is a mainstay firmly guaranteeing the dignified and honorable present of our people and the rosy future of the country and the eternal treasure for defending and glorifying the socialist cause of Juche, the editorial says, and goes on:

The distinguished feats performed by the generation, who won the war victory in the 1950s under the leadership of the President, and their ideological and mental wealth handed down to the posterity are deeply kept in our minds as the precious one which can not be bartered for anything.

As witnessed through the whole historic course of our revolution, the most powerful and unique weapon for the ongoing general advance is the ideological and mental power of the popular masses. The reality, in which we should break through manifold challenges and difficulties head-on to attain the grandiose goal of building a power, urges all the people to live and work with the heroic fighting spirit displayed by the generation who won the victory in the war. The spirit of defending the country and the revolution displayed in the 1950s that brought about a brilliant victory by defeating the aggressors with the dauntless spirit is a precious mental heritage to be firmly carried forward generation after generation.

The firm belief in and absolute loyalty to the leader, these are the core of the noble ideological and mental traits shown by the generation who won the victory in the war.

The loyalty to the leader should be the absolute and unconditional one and the glory and happiness of life lie in devotedly defending the leader--this is the earnest request made by the generation who won the victory in the war and the unshakable will our people cherish more deeply in mind.
