Pyongyang, July 28 (KCNA) -- All the people across the country and the service personnel of the Korean People's Army (KPA) significantly celebrated the 68th anniversary of the victory in the great Fatherland Liberation War.
Many people visited the Kumsusan Palace of the Sun, the supreme temple of Juche where President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il lie in state.
At the plaza of the palace they paid tributes to the portraits of the smiling great leaders, matchless legendary heroes and iron-willed brilliant commanders who provided a tradition of victory of heroic Korea and glorified it generation after generation.
The service personnel of the KPA and the masses who visited the revolutionary sites associated with Kim Il Sung 's leadership for war victory deeply grasped the immortal exploits of the peerlessly great man.
Working people, youth and students in different parts of the country visited the statues and cemeteries of martyrs, monuments to the fallen soldiers of the KPA and graves of martyrs to pay tribute to the victors of the great years, the proud generation who created the history of new succession of Korean revolution by devoting themselves.
Colorful performances were given in Pyongyang and other places.
The performers highly praised the great personality of the great leader who led the Fatherland Liberation War to victory with his outstanding stratagem, matchless courage and original art of command, shouldering upon himself the destiny of the country and nation.
Working people, youth and students met with war veterans on the occasion of the V-Day. They visited families of war veterans leading a worthwhile life under the warm care of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to congratulate them. -0-
