Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A performance was given for the participants in the 7th National Conference of War Veterans at the People's Theatre on July 26 amid the deep respect shown by the people across the country for the victors of the great years on the occasion of the significant V-Day.

Among the audience were Choe Ryong Hae and Kim Tok Hun, members of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, and other leading officials of the Party and the government.

The performance was given by artistes of the State Merited Chorus and major art troupes.

Put on the stage of the performance, which started with the playing of the national anthem of the DPRK and the prelude "July 27, Our Victory Day", were wartime songs and other famous songs sung by the Korean people during the years of the struggle for victorious advance.

Performers, through those memorable songs, sang highly of the immortal revolutionary feats of the peerlessly great men who performed military miracles of the 20th century in the anti-imperialist revolutionary war and glorified the traditions of invincibility century after century.

When the sacred image of ever-victorious iron-willed commander President Kim Il Sung making a historic radio speech to arouse the whole country to the sacred war for defending the country and his image announcing the great victory of the Korean people in the war at the venue of the military parade were shown and when his recorded speech was replayed, the audience broke into stormy applause as a token of their boundless reverence for him.

Put on the stage one after another were the numbers representing the transparent spirit of devotedly safeguarding the leader, noble patriotism and do-or-die spirit of defending the country displayed by the generation of the victors, who reliably defended the country and solidified the firm foundation for the country, true to the call of the leader, and their heroic feats.

Orchestral music and male chorus "Let's Support Our Supreme Commander with Arms" and "Revolutionary Armed Forces Upholds Leadership of Marshal Only" revved up the atmosphere of the performance as they reflected the deep respect for the great Party Central Committee which opened up the great era of our-state-first principle and built up the matchless and absolute strength of socialist Korea.

The performance, which demonstrated the firm faith and will of the Korean people to glorify the history and tradition of great victory of our country, ended with the finale "Holiday of Great War Victory", "Respects to Victors of Great Years" and "July 27, Our Victory Day."

The audience and performers were full of strong determination to fulfill their honorable missions and duties in the historic advance toward the new great victory of socialism, true to the leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who represents the mightiness of Juche Korea and the banner of invincibility.
