Pyongyang, September 15 (KCNA) -- Kim Tok Hun, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and premier of the Cabinet of the DPRK, inspected several units of the national economy.
He learned about the immediate farming state at Hakhung-ri and Tongha-ri of Ryongchon County and Naejung-ri of Yomju County where farmers are working hard to implement the decisions of the third enlarged meeting of the Political Bureau of the eighth Central Committee of the WPK which called for admirably finishing this year's farming.
He called for focusing steady efforts on ensuring the maximum yields by responsibly tending the crops under possible disastrous weather conditions so as to successfully wrap up this year's farming and make preparations for next year's farming.
At the construction site of the Pothong Riverside Terraced Residential District, he underscored the need to ensure the formative art in greening by planting trees and flower shrubs of good species and to take proper sci-tech measures to create lawns and manage green areas, pointing out that a model terraced residential district would be put up thanks to the Party's warm love for the people.
The field consultative meetings discussed practical issues arising in tapping all efforts to harvesting and thrashing and improving the agricultural management control methods in keeping with the developing realities, and detailed assignment of work were given to green the district and parks on the bank of the Pothong River in harmony with the natural landscape and in a unique way.
Meanwhile, the premier visited Kim Chaek University of Technology to discuss technical issues for further developing the university into a research-oriented university and one of world-level universities. -0-
