Pyongyang, September 14 (KCNA) -- Celebrations were held in different countries to mark the 73rd founding anniversary of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).
There took place meetings, seminars, lectures, film shows, book and photo exhibitions in Russia, Mongolia, Bangladesh, Syria, Pakistan, Denmark, Sweden, Ukraine, Finland, Serbia, Guinea, Nigeria, Libya, Algeria, Uganda and Mexico.
Korean films were screened at film shows.
The first secretary of the Khabarovsk Territorial Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that President Kim Il Sung organized and led an armed struggle against the powerful Japanese imperialists to liberate the country, adding that the foundation of the DPRK by the President came to be a great event to be specially recorded in the 5,000-year-long history of the Korean nation.
The chairman of the Denmark-DPRK Friendship Association said that the DPRK has followed the road of victory and glory for a long time since its foundation under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il, noting that the DPRK is dynamically advancing toward the rosy future as it is now led by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un.
The chairman of the Central Committee of the Worker-Peasant Party of Pakistan and other personages of political and public circles referred to the significance of the foundation of the DPRK.
Congratulatory messages to Kim Jong Un were adopted at the events held in Russia, Sweden and Finland.
