The Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant has increased thermal efficiency of boilers and introduced a new type device to the dust-absorbing system to raise the efficiency of dust collection.
The Pukchang Thermal Power Complex has established a clinker production process with locally available raw materials and improved the quality of boiler repairing by putting the production of heatproof cement on a normal basis.
The Pujongang Power Station has registered successes in updating the electric generator controller, and other power stations have made contributions to putting electric production on a normal footing by directing efforts to modernizing generating equipment.
Provincial, city and county power distribution stations across the country are waging campaigns for updating power transmission and transformation equipment and putting the operation of the national integrated power control system on a normal basis.
The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex has completed the project for the general overhaul of its oxygen heat blast furnace in the main, thus providing a guarantee for boosting the production capacity of the blast furnace and putting its operation on a stable basis. -0-
