Pyongyang, September 17 (KCNA) -- The 3rd Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 10th Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League was held through video-conferencing on Thursday.
Attending the meeting were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the youth league.
Present there as observers were officials of the ministry, national institution and provincial committees of the league.
Discussed as major agenda items at the meeting were matters of thoroughly carrying out the important tasks set forth in the letter of congratulation sent by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un to the young people who volunteered to work in the difficult and challenging sectors of socialist construction and at the 3rd Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report on the agenda items.
He called upon the youth league organizations to prepare all the young people to be vanguard fighters who keep the boundless loyalty to the Party as their faith through offensive ideological education in various forms and ways to thoroughly implement the important tasks set forth in the letter of congratulation.
He stressed the need for the officials of the youth league to go among the young people to explain the Party's policies, settle knotty problems and positively promote virtue and noble traits displayed among young people so as to increase the number of young people displaying noble traits.
He detailed the achievements and mistakes made in the work of the youth league after the 8th Congress of the Party and set forth the ways for arousing the members of the league to the campaign for carrying out the important tasks set forth at the 3rd Enlarged Meeting of the Political Bureau of the 8th Central Committee of the Party by further boosting the militant function and role of the league organizations.
Speeches were made there.
Adopted at the meeting were relevant decisions based on the deep study of draft decisions.
