These days good successes are made in the pomiculture field of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea.

A lot of fruit trees of good species with high productivity which are suitable for the climatic and soil conditions of the country are planted and species with good taste and quality cultivated.

The large-scale fruit producers which have been put on a highly intensive and modern footing and fruit farms across the country are producing more than 50 tons per hectare.

The well-known large-scale fruit producers in the country are associated with the efforts of the respected Kim Jong Un who is always paying deep concern to provide the people with delicious fruit.

When he visited the Taedonggang Combined Fruit Farm again in August Juche 105(2016), Kim Jong Un, looking at the vast expanse of fruit trees, said the farm is one of the heritages left by the great leader Kim Jong Il to the people which are based on love for the country and people.

And he said the officials and workers of the farm should never forget the desire of Kim Jong Il who devoted himself to providing the people with a lot of fresh fruit in all seasons but produce more fruit every year and thus keep their noble moral obligation to him.

In September Juche 105(2016), Kim Jong Un called at the Kosan Combined Fruit Farm and said the farm should produce a lot of fruit year after year in the sea of apple trees under the Chol Pass created under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea in order to glorify the leadership exploits of the great leaders Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il who made all painstaking efforts to supply more fruit to the people.

It is great that the farm expects more than 50 tons per hectare in tens of hectares of the apple orchard this year, he said and added that the people will be glad to be provided with the harvested apples.

When he visited Kwail County of South Hwanghae Province, the home of fruit farming in September Juche 106(2017), he said: Seeing the fruit, my heart is throbbing with pleasure and joy. I am relieved of my pent-up fatigue, thinking of the people who would be glad to hear the news of the large yield of fruit in Kwail County. Please convey my thanks to the officials and working people in the county who have brought about this wonderful large yield of fruit.

Kim Jong Un always pays attention to developing the pomiculture of the country. Whenever he visited fruit farms, he presented the tasks and ways to decisively increase the fruit production and took specific measures. He gave instructions on producing 50 tons of fruit per hectare and putting the fruit production on a highly scientific and intensive basis, on introducing species of fruit with high productivity and good taste and normalizing the production of young fruit trees, and on establishing the food production cycle of fruit farming and stockbreeding to raise the fertility of the orchard and actively introducing advanced technologies according to the world trend of development.

Under his meticulous guidance, many more fruits are produced every year, filling all parts of the country with their fragrance.
