Pyongyang, September 27 (KCNA) -- Many winners of the title of Meritorious Person of Socialist Patriotism have been produced across the DPRK in the wake of the 8th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea.
They are the models of the era who dedicate themselves to building a thriving nation by displaying fervent loyalty to the Party, pure conscience and unremitting enthusiasm, regardless of whether they are recognized or not.
Several officials and working people have been honored with the title early this year. Among them are the chief of the Furnace Shop of the Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex, the manager of the Munchon Coal Mine and the chief of the sheet metal processing shop of the Equipment Assembly Complex. The chief of the furnace shop contributed to trebling the output by making scores of inventions for normalizing the Juche iron production. The manager of the coal mine boosted the coal production by 180 percent in recent years and the chief of the sheet metal processing shop has devoted his wisdom and enthusiasm to supporting the important projects for decades.
The manager of the Kangwon Provincial medicament management office have produced vegetable broad-spectrum antibiotics and efficient Koryo medicines (traditional Korean medicines) with herbs rich in the province and the manager of the industrial technology institute of the Pyongyang Building Materials Factory made a contribution to radically increasing the capacity of producing building parts with domestic efforts, technology and resources.
A worker of the workteam No. 1 of the Huichon sericulture farm brought up over 60 orphans for more than two decades and sent them to the posts for defending the country and socialist construction sites. This clearly showed once again the true picture of the country where people live in harmony with virtues and affection.
Amid a vigorous campaign for emulating the meritorious persons of socialist patriotism, South Phyongan Province has produced three meritorious persons of socialist patriotism including the head of the Coal Production Workteam No. 1 of of the Pit 1 under the Tukjang Youth Coal Mine this year.
A forest ranger in charge of Sambong-ri of the Thaethan County Forestry Management Station, who dedicated himself to turning the forest in his charge into a thick one for over ten years, and the headmaster of Paeksa Primary School in Sinuiju City, who devotedly worked for decades in the school, and others have been honored with the title. -0-
