As we look back with deep emotion on the undying history of Chairman Kim Jong Il’s guidance to party building, we feel boundless reverence for him who strengthened and developed the Workers’ Party of Korea(WPK) into an ideological pure entity, an integral organization and the party of the unified actions, which is faithful to the idea and leadership of the leader in any conditions and circumstances, regarding it as his lifetime task to make the WPK the party of Comrade Kim Il Sung.

To make the party to be the leader’s was an untrodden path.

Chairman Kim Jong Il put forward the policy of modeling the entire Party on Kimilsungism after announcing modeling of the whole society on Kimilsungism as the highest program of the party. It served as a milestone for a decisive turn in strengthening and developing our Party to be the one of President Kim Il Sung.

Thanks to the guidance of Kim Jong Il who regarded it as the lifeline in every stage of revolution and construction to strengthen the leader’s guidance, our Party could give full play to its dignity and might as an embodiment of Kim Il Sung’s ideology, guidance and moral traits, the most veteran and seasoned political headquarters of the revolution and a promising party which inherited the leader’s ideology and guidance.

Indeed, it is the greatest of all of Kim Jong Il’s achievements that he strengthened and developed our Party into the party of the leader.

Invincible Party of Organizing Abilities and Fighting Efficiency

The Party leadership history of Chairman Kim Jong Il shines with his proud exploits to develop the WPK into an invincible one of strong organizing abilities and fighting efficiency.

He held fast to establishing the revolutionary climate within the Party as a main link to heighten sense of organization and discipline and put main efforts to it during his leadership of the revolution. Besides he set up the well-knit Party work system in the whole Party and heightened the leadership role of the Party in all sectors of socialist construction in every way by thoroughly embodying the Juche-oriented guidance principle and method in the Party’s activities.

Also, he ensured that the decisions of the Party were conveyed from the Party Central Committee to the Party cells, the grass-roots organizations of the Party, without a hitch and that the iron discipline and order by which entire Party moves as one under the unified leadership of the Party Central Committee were established.

Thanks to the wise leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il our Party was strengthened and developed into a powerful one giving full play to the inexhaustible might of the masses and an invincible one turning huge and difficult tasks into reality without fail.

Motherly Party Bearing Responsibility for Destiny of People

Our people call the WPK the motherly Party and this shows their absolute support to and trust in the Party which has consistently and perfectly embodied the noble idea of “The People Are God” in its scores of years-long history of honor.

It is the precious exploits of Chairman Kim Jong Il that the WPK displays its honor as the motherly Party.

The Chairman put the idea of “The People Are God” as the supreme principle of the Party activities and devoted his all to people for his whole life.

Under the wise leadership of the Chairman our Party was strengthened and developed into the revolutionary and motherly Party which took root among the masses and formed a harmonious whole with the masses.

True to the intention of the Chairman our Party adorns the new century of Juche with people-first principle.
