Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- An internet seminar of the East European and Central Asian regions under the theme of "Sovereignty and independence are the goal of the 21st century and the experience of party building in the DPRK" was held in Sankt-Peterburg, Russia on Oct. 7 on the occasion of the 76th founding anniversary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK).
Attending the seminar were chiefs of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions and the groups for studying the Juche idea and Juche idea followers of Russia, Ukraine, Moldova and other countries.
Mikhail Panchenko, general secretary of the International Alliance of Societies for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy in East European and Central Asian Regions, made a speech at the seminar.
President Kim Il Sung set forth an original party-building idea in consideration of the situation of Korea, not depending upon any established theory, thus building the WPK into the vanguard organization of the working people, he noted.
The WPK has carried on the struggle to satisfy the demands of the people and defend their interests since it inscribed a hammer, sickle and writing brush in its red flag, he said.
All progressive parties of the world should learn from the experience of the WPK, he said, adding that in order to realize independence, it is necessary to briskly conduct the work of studying and disseminating the outstanding idea and theory of Kim Jong Un, general secretary of the WPK.
Speeches were made by Nikolai Polishk, chairman of the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, Dmitri Kostenko, chairman of the Russian Association for the Study of the Juche Idea, the chairman of the All-Russian Society for the Study and Dissemination of Kimilsungism, and Oleg Vernik, chairman of the Moldovan Songun Youth Union for the Study of the Juche Idea.
A congratulatory message to the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un was adopted at the seminar.
