Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Choe Ryong Hae, member of the Presidium of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, first vice-president of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK and chairman of the Standing Committee of the Supreme People's Assembly, inspected the Taedonggang Electric Appliances Factory and Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326.
Looking around the factories, he stressed the need to enhance the responsibility and role of the officials for carrying out the tasks set forth in the administrative policy of the government of the Republic and to put primary efforts into upgrading the current production lines and increasing the production capacity in order to produce and supply enough raw and other materials and equipment needed for economic construction.
At the Taedonggang Electric Appliances Factory he called for raising the scientific level of production, prioritize the work for consolidating the material and technical foundations and wage vigorous campaigns among units and producers in which one overtakes and learns from others and swaps experience with them.
Emphasizing the importance of increasing the production capacity of the Pyongyang Electric Cable General Factory 326 in fully supplying various electric wires urgently needed for different sectors of the national economy, he stressed the need to regard it as the lifeline to promote the home production of raw and other materials and recycling and hasten the technical remodeling of equipment.
The field consultative meetings discussed the issue of propelling the work for realizing the adjustment strategy and reinforcement strategy set forth by the Party, the issue of implanting into the minds of officials and employees the idea that the national economic plan precisely means a state law and the issue of conducting in various forms and methods the work for establishing a law-abiding climate. -0-
