Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- There took place celebration meetings and lectures in Britain, Mexico, Brazil, Venezuela, Guinea, Algeria, Uganda and Tanzania from October 4 to 11 on the occasions of the 24th anniversary of Chairman Kim Jong Il 's election as general secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and the 76th founding anniversary of the WPK.
Attending the events were personages of various circles and people in those countries.
The general secretary of the Central Committee of the People's Socialist Party of Mexico praised the exploits performed by President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il who had vigorously advanced the socialist cause by founding the Juche-type revolutionary party and signally strengthening its leading role, and the experienced and tested leadership of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un who put the strategic position of the country on the highest level.
Several figures including the chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea said that Kim Il Sung who provided the organizational and ideological foundations for founding the party in the period of the arduous anti-Japanese war successfully accomplished the historic cause of party-building right after Korea's liberation.
The chairman of the Brazilian Center for the Study of the Juche Idea in a lecture on Kim Jong Il 's work "The Workers' Party of Korea Organizes and Guides All the Victories of Our People" praised the greatness of the peerlessly great men who made great contributions to the founding and development of the WPK, and the chairman of the Algeria-Korea Friendship Association said that the WPK has further demonstrated its dignity and might to the world as it is led by Kim Jong Un .
The director-general of the International Institute of the Juche Idea who doubles as chairman of the Mexican Committee for the Study of Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism explained in detail the main contents of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un 's work "The Cause of the Great Party of Comrades Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il Is Ever-Victorious".
Personages of the Ugandan National Executive Committee of the Pan-African Movement, Ugandan National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea and the Uganda-DPRK Friendship Association said that it is the party-building idea and ideal of Kim Jong Un to develop the WPK into the servant party which devotes itself to the well-being of people, adding that the WPK will be ever-victorious as it is led by him. -0-
