Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- The art squad of the Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League gave a performance "Fly High the Flag of Down-with-Imperialism Union" at the Central Youth Hall on Friday to mark the 95th anniversary of the formation of the Down-with-Imperialism Union (DIU) by President Kim Il Sung .
Put on the stage of the performance were diverse numbers including poem recitation, male solo, songs and dances and national instrumental ensemble.
Performers highly praised the President for providing the historic origin of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) by founding the DIU, a new-type vanguard organization, at the dawn of the Korean revolution, and for setting a world-historic example in building a revolutionary party with his original idea and leadership.
They impressively represented the history of the party-building leadership of Chairman Kim Jong Il who developed the WPK into an invincible steel-strong party, a genuine mother party, by successfully embodying the President's party-building idea.
The repertoire included the numbers dealing with the personality of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un as a peerlessly great man, who continues the journey of devoted service for the good of the people, true to the noble intention of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il .
Among the audience were Ri Tu Song, department director of the Central Committee of the WPK, Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, Hong Chol Jin, secretary of the Pyongyang City Party Committee, officials of the youth league and youth and students in Pyongyang. -0-
