Pyongyang, October 16 (KCNA) -- Kang Nam Ik, manager of the Rangnang Disabled Soldiers' Essential Plastic Goods Factory, is a disabled solider who served as a battalion commander of the Korean People's Army at the forefront.
Though he was discharged from the military service, he is still keeping the military uniform on his mind.
When visiting the factory on May 9, Juche 106 (2107), the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un asked him about his intention to receive the military rank of lieutenant general. Then, he replied "yes". At that time, the General Secretary smiled broadly.
The manager has devotedly worked for the country and the people with the same spirit and stamina as was displayed during the military service.
The General Secretary met him and other labor innovators and persons of merit who participated in the celebrations of the 73rd DPRK birthday on September 8, this year and bestowed favor on them. -0-
