The Korean revolution has been vigorously advanced with the greatest ideal of accomplishing the cause of independence of people from its start.
President Kim Il Sung drew up the program of the Down-with-Imperialism Union(DIU) and declared the formation of the DIU to down all the imperialisms in the world.
It was the manifestation of his great ideal.
It was the lofty ideal and aspiration of the President to finish the miserable life of the people suffering from the misdeeds of aggressors and exploiters and build a socialist and communist paradise whose masters are the working people and where they enjoy happy lives. It was also the supreme desire of the people.
The Korean revolution made a fresh start with the red flag of the DIU reflecting the ideal. Members of the DIU, burning their hearts with the great aspiration struggled for the future and devoted their all to the revolutionary cause.
Holding high the flag of the DIU the Korean revolutionaries unbendingly struggled to realize the historic cause of the national liberation and the class emancipation. Our people defeated two imperialisms in one generation and built a socialist paradise flying the red flag which is imbued with the spirit of DIU.
Under the leadership of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il our people grew up into giants of creation realizing their lofty ideal and aspiration on their own hands and into heroic people performing epoch-making miracles century after century.
The people’s grand ambition reflected in the red flag of the revolution is being realized more brilliantly under the leadership of the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un.
Under the guidance of the respected General Secretary our people, keeping in their mind the pride of the people of the great power vigorously advance with confidence and optimism towards an ideal society for mankind set forth by the DIU.
