Pyongyang, October 19 (KCNA) -- The state organs for economic guidance have been taking positive measures to carry through the administrative policy of the DPRK government.

After thoroughly studying the important policy speech made by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and grasping the policy tasks for pushing ahead with the independent and overall development of the national economy, the officials advance constructive opinions to propel the implementation of the tasks and are positively studying and discussing them.

The economic affairs for implementing the administrative policy are being scrupulously organized in keeping with the requirements of the policy which put it forward as the most important task of the DPRK government to bring about practical successes and substantial changes desired and welcomed by the people from the first year of the implementation of the five-year plan.

The Cabinet made a profound study of the methodological issues it faces in discharging its role as the control tower for the implementation of the five-year plan for national economic development, and is finding a substantial way to decisively improve the guidance over and the management of the economic affairs, after setting it forth as an urgent task.

Officials are planning the economic affairs in a far-sighted way as required by the economic policy of the Party and setting out concrete and realistic plans to positively resolve the problems arising in the economic construction and the improvement of the people's standard of living.

Officials are pooling their creative wisdom in order to bring about substantial changes and epoch-making progress in the economic construction by improving the guidance and management with main emphasis on accelerating the independent and sustainable development of the national economy and on well balanced and simultaneous development of all the economic sectors.

The officials are pressing ahead with the planned project for the expansion of the production capacity by concentrating on major construction projects of great economic significance, true to the readjustment and reinforcement strategy of the Party, and ensuring that all the sectors and units push ahead with the work to increase the self-sufficiency rate of raw and other materials and strengthen the production foundation.

The State Planning Commission, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of External Economic Relations, the Central Bureau of Statistics, etc. put forward proposals for stepping up the positive economic development.

Officials of the state organs for economic guidance are decisively improving the guidance and management, exploring a scientific and realistic way of pushing forward with the independent and overall development of the national economy.
