Visiting the Same Apartment Twice

There is an apartment visited twice by the respected General Secretary in the smartly-decorated fifth block of the Wisong Scientists Residential District.

Residing there is a family of an ordinary researcher of the State Academy of Sciences.

Whoever visits there can keenly realize how fervent the General Secretary’s love for scientists is.

On October 13, Juche 103 (2014), the General Secretary visited the completed residential district.

He saw the four vestibules of the fifth block and was satisfied that they looked good with the circular windows newly installed into them as taught by him during his visit in June and that the apartment buildings looked much better.

Then he entered Unit 1 on the first floor of the first apartment building.

During his inspection of the residential district under construction on June 19, he had visited the same apartment.

At that time, the General Secretary had taught that TVs had to be installed in the apartments and that a wide-screen LCD TV was needed for the living room equipped with a large TV table.

On his second visit there, he saw to it that the TV he had brought with him was installed in the living room and said affectionately that he was going to present LCD TVs, quilts and utensils to the families of the scientists who were to move to the residential district.

Indeed, every apartment of the Wisong Scientists Residential District is full of warm love of the respected General Secretary who is eager to give scientists all the good things.

Primary School Conveys His Attentive Care

When giving on-the-spot guidance to the completed Wisong Scientists Residential District, the respected General Secretary visited first the Wisong Primary School where the scientists’ children would study.

The General Secretary was wearing a broad smile on his face throughout his visit to the school while picturing the children reading out loud and laughing happily in the residential district.

That day, he said that as children of the scientists at the State Academy of Sciences would study in the Wisong Primary School it could be called a place where reserves of scientists would grow up and that scientific research as well as revolution had to be carried out generation after generation.

He entered the room of Class F in the first grade, expressed satisfaction over the green board and asked with what children would write on the board. He carefully looked at the upper surface of the desk, personally examined it by the hand and pointed out what had to be corrected. He also requested them to make sure that children study in warm classrooms.

He inspected every corner of the school including the barber’s, treatment room and indoor swimming pool and took fatherly care of the children.

Recollecting that unforgettable day, the headmistress, Ri Hyang Wol said as follows:

"'A place where reserves of scientists will grow up'—these words reflect the warm love of the respected General Secretary who pays close attention to the healthy and sound growth of the scientists’ children. True to his lofty intention, we will exert ourselves to train all our pupils to be future talents in the scientific and technological fields."
