The 4th Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 10th Central Committee of the Socialist Patriotic Youth League was held through video-conferencing on Wednesday.
Attending the meeting were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the youth league.
Present at the meeting as observers were officials of the youth league committees of ministries, national institutions and provinces.
Discussed at the meeting were matters of thoroughly implementing the important tasks set forth by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in his historic policy speech "On the Orientation of Present Struggle for a Fresh Development of Socialist Construction" at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
Mun Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report.
He said that the historic policy speech made by the respected General Secretary is an action programme which most correctly reflects the requirements of our revolution that has entered the stage of signal development, and an immortal programme which instills tremendous vitality and encouragement to the all-people efforts to attain the goals of victory set forth by the 8th Party Congress.
Saying that there is a heavy and sacred task before the young people to glorify the honor of the socialist patriotic youth league in the van of the general offensive for the overall development of our style socialist construction, bearing deep in mind the great trust and expectation of the Party Central Committee, he suggested the measures to implement the tasks set forth in the administrative policy.
He called upon the organizations of the youth league to enhance their militant function and role in the struggle for thoroughly implementing the important tasks set forth by the respected General Secretary in his policy speech, and upon all the young people to fully demonstrate the mettle of the patriotic youth in the advance towards the fresh development of our style socialist construction.
There were speeches at the meeting.
The meeting adopted a relevant resolution based on the study of the draft resolution.
