Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital in Pyongyang, the capital city of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, was modernly built in October Juche 105 (2016).
From that time on, a large number of people have had their eyes treated at this hospital.
Among them is Ri Kwang Ho, a worker of the Hungnam Pharmaceutical Factory in the eastern part of the country.
Ri told KCNA that getting treatment at the hospital for tens of days, he came to keenly feel again that our society is one big family sharing joys and sorrows with each other.
It was early in July 2020 that he was seriously injured on his eyes by an unexpected accident and sent back to the Ryugyong General Ophthalmic Hospital.
Medical workers of the hospital had lots of consultations and smoothly conducted several rounds of long and elaborate operation on Ri's eyes. They showed their utmost sincerity for the patient so that he could regain his sight before his birthday.
Meanwhile, employees of the factory and inhabitants of his home village visited Ri on his sickbed with various tonics and food and helped his family affairs, thus making him concentrate his whole mind on treatment.
After all, he could regain his sight under such warm love and assistance of the collective and society.
