Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- The 3rd Enlarged Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) was held through video-conferencing on October 21.
Present there were members and alternate members of the Central Committee of the GFTUK.
Officials of the Central Committee of the GFTUK were present as observers.
The meeting discussed the ways of thoroughly carrying out the important tasks set forth by the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un in his historic policy speech "On the Orientation of Present Struggle for a Fresh Development of Socialist Construction" at the 5th Session of the 14th Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.
Pak In Chol, chairman of the Central Committee of the GFTUK, made a report.
He stressed that the policy speech made by the respected General Secretary, reflective of the firm will to glorify our great state in the world and the spirit of unconditionally serving the people, is a militant banner encouraging all the people to implement the action programme set forth by the Party Congress.
He proposed the measures arising in vigorously arousing officials and members of the GFTUK to the all-people general advance for winning a fresh shining victory on all fronts of socialist construction.
Speeches were made at the meeting.
The meeting adopted a relevant resolution after studying a draft resolution.
