The Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill has undergone quite a change over the past 8 years.
An imposing gate was erected with the respected General Secretary’s autograph which reads "Pyongyang Kim Jong Suk Textile Mill" engraved on it and a new hostel was built to resemble a giant flower on the bank of the River Taedong. Several production lines and ten-odd vegetable greenhouses were also laid out anew.
All of these started on one October day in Juche 102 (2013) when the respected General Secretary visited the mill for the first time.
Throughout his inspection, he paid more attention to the workers’ living conditions than to production.
He took close care of the workers’ housing problem and other conditions for their living. Wherever in the mill he went, he was obsessed with the thought about workers.
That’s why he went the length of visiting the weedy and rugged site for the hostel instead of getting in his car and leaving the mill. Besides, he saw to it that soldiers were dispatched there that day and took benevolent measures to complete the hostel by the next May Day.
The workers felt most grateful for his such attentive care and warm love.
Indeed, workers will remain happy forever thanks to the respected General Secretary who is eager to let them lead proud lives.
