Pyongyang, October 26 (KCNA) -- Staff members of the Chinese embassy here laid a floral basket before the Friendship Tower on October 25 on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of the entry of the Chinese People's Volunteers (CPV) into the Korean front.
Present at the floral basket-laying ceremony were Li Jinjun, Chinese ambassador to the DPRK, and staff members of his embassy.
The national anthems of the People's Republic of China and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea were played.
Placed at the tower was a floral basket in the name of the Chinese embassy.
The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the CPV martyrs who bravely fought by devoting their youth and lives to the Korean front.
Earlier, the ambassador and his embassy members laid a floral basket and flowers at the cemetery of the CPV martyrs in Jangjin County, South Hamgyong Province. -0-
