Marking October 25, the 71st anniversary of the participation of the Chinese People’s Volunteers in the Korean war, the Korean people pay the noble respect to CPV officers and men.

Regarding the Korean people’s struggle for defeating the armed invasion of the imperialist allied forces as their own affair, the Chinese Party and government dispatched the CPV to the Korean front under the banner of resisting America and aiding Korea, protecting the home and defending the motherland in October 1950.

The DPRK and China have the historical tradition of sharing their fate in the joint struggle against the imperialist aggression.

During the anti-Japanese war, the peoples of both countries waged bloody battles against the common enemy shoulder to shoulder.

When the Chinese people were in distress in the civil war, the Korean people rendered unsparing support to the Chinese while regarding it as their own affair. President Kim Il Sung took a measure of dispatching excellent commanding officers and men of the Korean People’s Revolutionary Army to different parts of Northeast China, saying it is the noble internationalist obligation of Korean revolutionaries to aid the revolutionary struggle of the Chinese people. Many Korean sons and daughters displayed their unparalleled bravery in battles, making great contributions to the victorious Chinese revolution and the birth of a new China.

That is why Chairman Mao Zedong and Premier Zhou Enlai said that the five-star red flag of the People’s Republic of China is associated with the red blood of Korean communists and people.

At the Korean front, the CPV service personnel fought bravely against the imperialist allied forces hand in hand with the Korean People’s Army.

They displayed unparalleled heroism in the first battle in the Unsan area on October 25 1950, the battle by Lake Jangjin and many others.

Lots of valiant CPV soldiers sacrificed their prime of youth in the Korean war, including Mao Anying, son of Mao Zedong, and Hero Huang Jiguang who blocked the enemy’s gun muzzle with his chest to ensure a victorious battle on Sanggam Pass.

Today, the DPRK-China friendship with long historical roots has entered a new development stage as required by the new era.

The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un visited China on several occasions with the firm will to achieve an all-round efflorescence of the DPRK-China friendship in line with the new era of bilateral relations.

Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, visited Pyongyang in June 2019 to develop friendly relations between the two countries with deep historical roots.

The several rounds of meetings between Kim Jong Un and Xi Jinping demonstrated to the whole world the invariability and invincibility of bilateral friendship forged by will and affection in the joint struggle for independence against imperialism and for socialism, and contributed to further cementing the bilateral ties which have entered a new period of vitality.

The DPRK-China bond with fine tradition will be consolidated and developed further century after century and down through generations to meet the desire of the peoples of the two countries.
