Pyongyang, November 4 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday carries an article to mark the 3rd anniversary of the respected Comrade Kim Jong Un 's meeting with Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and president of the Republic of Cuba, who visited to the DPRK in November, Juche 107 (2018) as president of the Council of State and president of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Cuba at that time.
Kim Jong Un had friendly meetings and talks with Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez and provided a specially turning point in the history of development of relations between the two parties and the two countries.
The respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un accorded cordial hospitality for Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez, deepening friendship.
Even at the moment of exchanging hand-shake of farewell, the leaders of the two countries firmly promised to keep advancing socialist construction in the two countries along the path of victory, keeping high the hands holding the banner of socialism.
The meeting between the two leaders served as a historic watershed in invariably carrying forward and developing the fraternal and traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the two countries century after century and generation after generation, and in firmly consolidating the militant unity between the two parties and the two peoples in the struggle for the common cause.
The two countries have created shining history and tradition of cooperation and unity in the course of joint struggle on the common front for independence, peace and socialism.
President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il devoted their great efforts to the development of the DPRK-Cuba friendship, together with Comrades Fidel Castro Ruz and Raul Castro Ruz. Therefore, the two parties and the two countries could positively cooperate in all fields of politics, economy and culture and take a joint step in the international arena.
The DPRK-Cuba friendly relations proved and consolidated in the struggle for realizing the socialist cause have developed into special comradely and strategic relations as required by the era thanks to Kim Jong Un and Miguel Mario Diaz-Canel Bermudez.
The two parties and the two countries have closely supported and cooperated and invariably adhered to the banner of independence and socialism against imperialism even under the complicated international situation.
Friendship and unity between the two countries advancing under the uplifted banner of socialism are firm and will be consolidated to be invincible.
Our Party and people remain unchanged in their stand to send firm support and solidarity to the just struggle of the party and people of Cuba.
