Pyongyang, November 6 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un sent thanks to agricultural workers of Yonggwang County of South Hamgyong Province for the letter they sent with the delight and pride of reaping a bumper harvest despite the unfavorable conditions of suffering from floods.
A meeting for conveying the thanks of Kim Jong Un to the agricultural workers of the county was held Friday at the Sangjung Cooperative Farm of the county.
Present at the meeting were Ri Jong Nam, chief secretary of the South Hamgyong Provincial Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK), Pak Tong Chol, chairman of the provincial rural economy committee, and officials and working people of the county.
Ri Jong Nam made an address for conveying Kim Jong Un 's thanks.
The speaker said with strong emotion that the respected General Secretary Kim Jong Un earnestly requested to tell the agricultural workers of the county, who sent happy news of rich harvest, that he and the WPK Central Committee send thanks to them.
He said that the thanks he sent reflects the warmest love for the people that can be shown only by the peerlessly great man, the greatest popular leader, who regards the pleasure and happiness of the people as the most valuable treasure and infinite power that cannot be bartered with anything else in the world.
He called upon all officials and the working people in the county to become patriotic farmers and bumper croppers who faithfully uphold the Party with increased rice production by bringing about a great victory in next year's farming once again in order to live up to the great trust and benevolence of the great father.
Oath-taking speeches were made at the meeting.
Speakers vowed to firmly trust and follow the respected General Secretary only, the sun of our destiny and pillar of our life, and spruce up their village as a socialist ideal land, keeping in mind the honor and happiness of today. -0-
