One April day several years ago, the respected General Secretary visited the Songdowon International Children’s Camp near completion.
He was satisfied that the camp was splendidly remodeled to be presented to our children. He said with joy that the camp looked as if it had been built anew, not remodeled, and that it just resembled a beautiful picture.
He told officials that he liked “We are the happiest in the world!” and “Let’s learn for Korea!” best among the slogans concerning children and recommended that the slogan “We are the happiest in the world!” be engraved on the camp’s gate.
The accompanying officials marveled at his idea as the slogan could vivify the features of the children’s camp.
Later at the theatre of the International Friendship Children’s Hall, he once again advised that the slogan “We are the happiest in the world!” had to be hung on the forehead of the stage. He went on saying that whenever he saw that slogan, he visualized the images of President Kim Il Sung and Chairman Kim Jong Il.
In front of the office building, too, he saw the same slogan hanging out of the building and stressed that the slogan enabled him to brave difficulties with a smile.
Consequently the slogan “We are the happiest in the world!” was engraved on the gate of the camp.
