Pyongyang, November 17 (KCNA) -- It is 116 years since the Japanese imperialists cooked up the "Ulsa (1905) Five-point Treaty" to reduce Korea into their colony. The forcible fabrication of the "treaty" clearly shows the gangster-like nature of the Japanese imperialists.
In order to cook up the "treaty", the Japanese imperialists deployed their aggression troops in Korea's Imperial Palace to surround it with double and triple rings.
And they dragged government ministers of the feudal Joson dynasty to the Cabinet conference hall by force and compelled them to vote for the "treaty". They even conducted such an impudent act as stamping the then Korean foreign ministry's official seal on the "treaty" by themselves.
The "treaty" was a fraudulent document without the royal signature and seal of the Korean side, a major procedure in concluding any international treaty.
Kojong, emperor of Korea at that time, in his personal letters to the rulers of Czarist Russia, U.S., Germany and other countries in January 1906 clarified that he neither admitted nor sealed the "treaty" concluded on November 17, 1905 between a Japanese envoy and Foreign Minister Pak Je Sun. He also accredited three emissaries to the Second International Peace Conference held in Hague in June 1907 to expose the illegality and invalidity of the "treaty".
It is rare to see in the world history such aggressor as the Japanese imperialists who imposed the conclusion of the "treaty" by force of arms and fabricated the "treaty" without royal signature and seal.
That's why in its report submitted to the United Nations General Assembly in 1963, the UN Commission on International Law singled the "Ulsa Five-point Treaty" out as one of the four invalid treaties in the world which had been concluded by force.
And the Italian newspaper Il Manifesto reported that the "Ulsa Five-point Treaty" is the most fraudulent document in the world history and Japan is an impudent robber as it cooked up a treaty between countries at its own will, forging a history.
Though many years have gone, the past crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean people can neither be covered nor be erased. It is the fixed will of the DPRK people to settle Japan's past crimes without fail. -0-
