Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- The Institute of Agricultural Science in Kangwon Province has registered scientific research successes contributable to the agricultural production.
A new slow-action granulated fertilizer made by the institute has high economic efficiency as it fully supplies nutrients necessary for the crop growth with one single deep application.
The institute has developed various kinds of growth stimulants activating metabolism of the crops and increasing their resistance to unfavorable conditions and made it possible to put their production on an industrial basis.
It has developed our own style high concentration fertilizer for rice seedbed and successfully concluded the test for introducing it. Thus it has opened up a prospect for increasing the yield of rice per hectare by raising healthy rice seedlings from the stage of rice-seedling bed.
It has bred high-yielding rice species suitable to the climatic and soil conditions of coastline and inland areas and resistant to the disastrous abnormal weather, and developed new seed-coating material as required by the trend of modern agricultural sci-tech development.
It has developed scientific farming aid program to ensure the measures for increase of fertility of each field and to put the planning of farming process on a scientific basis.
