Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- A national sci-tech presentation in the fish-farming field took place from Nov. 23 to 25 through video teleconferencing under the sponsorship of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Science and Technology of Korea.
The presentation held on the theme "Substitution of animal and vegetable protein-rich foods" was aimed at giving wild publicity to, disseminating and generalizing the sci-tech successes and experience gained in solving the issue of food, the keystone in fish farming.
Attending the presentation were scientists, technicians, graduate students, students and field officials from over 30 units, including Kim Il Sung University, Kim Hyong Jik University of Education and the Academy of Fishery Science.
Introduced at the presentation were over 70 valuable treatises conducive to settling the issue of fish food by producing protein-rich foods and addictives and to establishing scientific breeding system and developing the fish-farming technology.
During the presentation, a lecture was given and a video clip screened to introduce the trend of development of fish food addictives, methods of raising big and palatable fish and breeding catfish, etc.
