Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- Keeping moral cultivation ahead of economic construction is an important work to be consistently maintained in socialist construction, says an article of Rodong Sinmun Tuesday.
The on-going general march for bringing about the overall development of socialism is a sacred struggle propelled by the devoted efforts made by all the people who remain faithful to their moral obligation before the country and who keep their revolutionary posts with pure conscience, the article says, and goes on:
Keeping the moral cultivation ahead of economic construction is an essential requirement for preserving the nature of our style socialism and fully displaying its advantages.
Only when more priority is given to moral cultivation and it is kept ahead of economic construction and all the members of the society are brought up to be genuine revolutionaries possessed of noble spiritual and moral traits, would it be possible to consolidate the single-minded unity of the Party and the revolutionary ranks based on the revolutionary comradeship and obligation.
Keeping the moral cultivation ahead of economic construction is an important requirement for building a powerful socialist country on this land as early as possible.
The driving force of the development of the country lie in the hearts of the people being aware of their moral obligation before the country, and the mightiness of the country is backed by the creations and achievements made by all the citizens with their heart and soul.
When the sound moral lifestyle prevails in the whole society, this would help working people to fully display revolutionary enthusiasm and patriotic dedication in their struggle for achieving the overall development of economy and this would also remarkably expedite the economic construction.
Steadfast is the will of our Party to break through the unprecedented difficulties with the unprecedented might of ideology, comradely unity and the might of the revolutionary obligation and thus open up the new period of a great surge and turn in socialist construction. -0-
