Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- Scientists and technologists of the Academy of Medical Science devote their wisdom and passion to research.
There has been a great advance in the study thanks to the rare consciousness and efforts of scientists to register innovative achievements of practical value that propel the public health service.
The academy has developed an advanced method of operating and treating an incurable disease and organized a technical workshop for applying it to province-level treatment and prevention institutions, thus providing a foundation for high-level treatment.
It has consistently pushed ahead with the study for developing methods of treating various diseases with the use of bioengineering technology and directed its efforts to putting the production of medicines on a normal track and solving the sci-tech problems arising in increasing the variety of medicines.
Dozens of medicines based on locally available resources have been developed amid the brisk research for local production of medicines.
The academy has intensified the research for using unfamiliar or unknown Koryo medicinal materials for treatment and inventing a quality control method for efficacious Koryo medicines. -0-
