Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- Preparations for next year's plan for sprucing up the capital city of Pyongyang are being pushed ahead with in the city.
Tasks for planting trees were allocated to a lot of units according to the detailed plan for planting trees in autumn and more than one hundred thousand trees including zelkova tree, juniper tree and dawn redwood were secured.
Officials and workers of the horticultural sector and citizens across the city turned out in planting trees and also repairing horticultural facilities in parks and pleasure grounds.
A project for producing apricot trees of superior species such as Pyongyang white apricot by grafting is being pushed ahead with in tree nurseries.
The Pyongyang Floriculture Institute and other floriculture stations in the city are all out tending young flowering plants for flower beds, flower planters and mobile flowerpot stands.
The work for creating brighter and more cultured climate is brisk through the planting of more trees of good species in parks and pleasure grounds of several districts. -0-
