Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The respected Comrade Kim Jong Un published his famous work "Let Us Usher in a Great Golden Age of Construction by Thoroughly Applying the Party's Juche-oriented Idea on Architecture" on December 8, Juche 102 (2013).
In the work, Kim Jong Un clarified that the socialist architecture of Juche is, in essence, architecture based on the people-first principle. He stressed that as the popular masses are creators and enjoyers of architecture, their desire, demand and convenience should be placed above all in construction and ideological value, artistry and practicality should be thoroughly ensured in it in keeping with their emotion and aesthetic taste.
The work setting forth the tasks and ways for boosting the country's overall construction work is an immortal programme for ushering in the great golden age of construction.
After the publication of the work, the country's architecture has developed rapidly and many monumental edifices came into being one after another. Among them are the Sci-Tech Complex, Masikryong Ski Resort, Yangdok Hot Spring Resort, Yonphung Scientists Holiday Camp and Pyongyang Taedonggang Seafood Restaurant.
Mirae Scientists Street and Ryomyong Street embodying the Juche character, originality and convenience in architecture were wonderfully built. And Samjiyon City was turned into a model of socialist mountain cultural town and the Jungphyong Vegetable Greenhouse Farm, a model of large-scale vegetable greenhouse farm, and modern factories and large-scale hydro-power stations were built to contribute to the country's economic development and the improvement of people's living standard.
Those edifices showing the DPRK's development potentiality give the people the firm conviction that all their dreams and ideals will be translated into reality at an early date.
