Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- A joint memorial meeting was held by political parties of the DR Congo in Kinshasa on Dec. 13 ahead of the tenth anniversary of the demise of Chairman Kim Jong Il.
Present there were the general secretary of the Communist Party of the DR Congo and leadership members of other political parties in the DR Congo.
Sylvere Boswa Isekombe, general secretary of the Communist Party, made a report to be followed by speeches at the event.
The reporter and speakers stressed that Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the DPRK, had energetically worked for the victorious advance of socialism and the cause of independence against imperialism, world peace and security, and friendship and solidarity among countries under the banner of independence all his life, thus performing the immortal feats to be etched in the history of mankind.
They noted that Kim Jong Il advanced proper fighting lines and strategies and ensured their consistent implementation to cope with the global political situation at a time when the sovereignty and dignity of other countries were violated due to the imperialists' evermore undisguised strong-arm and arbitrary practices, and thus made the DPRK fully demonstrate its prestige as an independent power.
The external activities of Kim Jong Il, who made great feats in developing the friendly relations among countries with his untiring efforts, caught the attention of the whole world and therefore personages of political and social circles in many countries and even politicians in countries hostile to the DPRK admired him for his greatness, they pointed out.
The world progressives highly praise Kim Jong Il as the great guardian of socialism, peerless elder statesman, outstanding leader of the world revolution and the eternal sun of Juche, they said, stressing that he will be immortal along with the century.
